Drip irrigation tape and fittings are core components for efficient farm water use, but improper use often leads to low efficiency or equipment damage. Master these key points to maximize their performance.

First, focus on specification matching. Whether it’s flat drip tape or labyrinth drip tape, its diameter (16mm/20mm common) and working pressure (0.05-0.15MPa) must match fittings like connectors and valves. Mismatched specs cause leaks or weak water flow, affecting irrigation uniformity.

Second, prevent emitter clogging. Install a 120-mesh filter at the water inlet to block sand and impurities, cleaning it weekly. Flush drip tapes every 2 weeks by opening end caps, and flush for 10 minutes after fertilization to avoid residue buildup.

Finally, do off-season maintenance. Drain water from tapes and fittings to prevent freezing damage. Roll tapes neatly, store in cool dry places; clean fittings and seal them to avoid moisture and sunlight erosion. These simple steps boost irrigation efficiency and extend equipment life.
